Malta’s Best Hairdressing & Business Award 2019

Maltese entrepreneurs are a great value for the local economy: they are those who create jobs, encourage creativity and generate economic growth. In short, they leave a legacy to help create and make a much more improved operational working environment and instill a deep and positive entrepreneurial ‘feel good’ factor.

For these reasons, they will be celebrated on December 6th 2019 in a glittering and very exclusive gala award ceremony, combining Malta’s Best-in-Business companies, together with the best talents in the hairdressing and barber industry. Nominee entrepreneurs will convene for the fifth MBIBA and first ever MBHBA gala award ceremony, which will gather over 300 distinguished guests amongst top tier business entrepreneurs from various sectors of the Maltese business community.

This year the award ceremony brings together two distinct industries: the MBIBA – an established and renowned award – that features the best of commercial, hi-tech, and general business, with the best of the hairdressing and barber industry: a new kind of award created and strongly supported by Martin Vella to celebrate the skills, training and artistry of hairdressing in Malta.

Margaret Brincat, Director of the MBHBA, said: “Malta’s Best Hairdressing & Barber Awards 2019® will successfully celebrate excellence in our industry. I am so thrilled for each nominee as well as all of the finalists honored along the way, especially the new salons that have burst on to the scenes in the last year.

Martin Vella, founder, director and organiser of MBIBA, stated:The Malta Best-in-Business Award 2019 is by far the broadest business awards program in Malta and honours companies, teams, executives and products for their business successes in the previous and current year. I want to add that Malta’s Best-in-Business Awards, which is a trade mark registered event, is to date the only Maltese business awards program judged exclusively by a panel of judges under established and accredited criteria, and the judging process is transparent, with results being made public.

Indeed, the awards are judged separately by experts and qualified business leaders, who will evaluate their individual strengths according to several judging criteria. Each judge receives a detailed company profile, statistics, history, including confidential data and meets the finalists in a formal live Q&A during the gala evening. Although the qualities of entrepreneurship are widely recognized and celebrated, nowhere else will you witness such a thorough, precise and transparent process in Malta.

The award ceremony will be providing an exciting show and is hosted by compere Colin Fitz: guests will enjoy the catwalk with some of the most important teams participating, the fabulous red carpet, and a Hollywood-style awards ceremony. Celebrated music producer and DJ Joseph Armani will be taking care of the musical presentations for the night, which will also see illusionist and magician par excellence Brian Role’ entertaining guests with unbelievable breath-taking tricks and chimeras. Audio Malta will be providing the lighting and sound, stage and catwalk. Busy Bee Catering have been entrusted with the F&B service on the night. The ceremony will have worldwide streaming broadcast.

Amazing prizes for the winners, who will receive a trophy and accredited certification, a press release with judges’ comments on why they have won. These comments can also be used on winner’s website, together with other marketing materials, and will be published on MBR Publications website and Facebook pages, as well as the Malta Independent online portal, which is great for business link building. The organizers and promoters will also contact winners to provide free help and guidance on how to maximize awareness of their success. This will include how best to generate media coverage in the press, broadcast media and online as well as how to communicate their success directly to existing and potential clients, staff and other key opinion makers.
