Transhipment, shipbuilding, maritime sustainability and technological innovation are at the centre of discussions at Naples Shipping Week, which will be attended by Assomalta for the development of the sector in the Mediterranean.
Naples, 30 September 2024 – ASSOMALTA gives its free patronage and confirms its participation in the Naples Shipping Week 2024, one of the most relevant events for the maritime and port sector at international level, scheduled in Naples from 30 September to 5 October 2024. Always committed to fostering innovation in the maritime world, ASSOMALTA will play a leading role in two key moments of the event: the Italy-Malta Bilateral on Shipping and the Port&ShippingTech conference.
Italy-Malta Bilateral Meeting on Shipping – 2 October 2024
The bilateral meeting, organized by the Propeller Club Port of Naples and the Malta Maritime Summit, will be held on 2 October 2024 from 14:30 to 17:00 at the Polo dello Shipping in Naples, in via Agostino Depretis 51, also department head office to the ASSOMALTA Shipping Department.
During the meeting, representatives of Italy and Malta will discuss crucial issues such as transhipment, the advantages of the Maltese flag, shipbuilding and the role of cruises in the Mediterranean. ASSOMALTA will be represented by board member Salvatore Palantra, who will participate in a round table, helping to outline a common vision to strengthen maritime cooperation between the two countries and face the challenges of the Mediterranean together.
Port&ShippingTech – 3 and 4 October 2024
ASSOMALTA will also take part in Port&ShippingTech, the main event of Naples Shipping Week, scheduled for October 3rd and 4th. With fifteen years of experience, Port&ShippingTech represents a point of reference for technological innovation and the improvement of the logistics-port system at an international level.
During these days, ASSOMALTA’s Secretary General Sergio Passariello and Board member Palantra will participate in several sessions of the conference, making a significant contribution to discussions on technology, sustainability and innovation in the shipping sector, central themes for the association’s growth strategy.
